Quick Start on How to Set PDF Password
Maybe you have just created or received one or several PDF files, but you want to add password to the PDF document in case someone copy your result. The safest way to share the file, besides mailing a hard copy, is to set PDF password that you must know in order to access the file. Adding a password to a PDF file is simple and straightforward.
We will introduce you two ways to create password for PDF, one is to use Adobe Acrobat, and if you don't have Adobe Acrobat, you can use a third-party program called PDF Creator to help you. Now you may read the methods and choose one that is most suitable for you.
Method One: Set PDF Password with Adobe Acrobat
There are two password type - owner password and user password.
Set open password. Click the check box on Require a password to open the document and enter an open password if you want to restrict others from opening the PDF (users need to type the correct password before opening the document).
Set owner passwrod. Click the check boxes on Permissions and enter the permissions password ( or owner password, and users have to provide a right password before changing security settings). You can also set restrictions of Printing Allowed and Changes Allowed in the Permissionis filed.

Method Two: Create PDF Password with PDF Creator

Now you can click Add file or directly load the PDF files to the software, and then click Options, select output format as PDF file. Click Security to set PDF password and tick if you allow others to modify the document, comments etc. Specify an output folder to store the files and press Create button to export PDF documents.
